Cold Process Soaps

Cold process soaps must be cured for 4-6 weeks, to neutralize the sodium hydroxide (lye) necessary for the making of soap, and to allow the water to evaporate, creating a hard bar of soap.  This creates a harder and longer lasting bar of soap.  Cold process soap contains natural glycerin, which is a by-product of soap-making.  These soaps do not need to be wrapped, and do not develop glycerin “dew”.
